Background

Muscular Dystrophy Association of NSW commenced operation in 1957 as a specialist support group within the Society for Crippled Children, now known as Northcott Society. The association operated out of its own offices at South Sydney for many years, before moving to the more central current location of Meadowbank (Ryde) in 2008. In 2008 the nameĀ and logo was changed to Muscular Dystrophy NSW, reflecting its more modern role being one of several states and territories providing modern services to its members.
