Medical Seminars

Medical seminars providing important information to members are organised once or twice a year. Topics are carefully chosen to match members interests, and are presented by leaders in their fields including medicos and researchers.

The seminars are presented at the Community Centre provided by Ryde Council within 200 metres of the Muscular Dystrophy NSW office at 7 Bay Drive, Meadowbank.

Carers Workshops

Muscular Dystrophy NSW runs regular carer workshops, information sessions and social events for carers throughout metro Sydney and around many regional areas around NSW. The program encourages carers to socialise with others going through similar experiences; it aims to educate carers on specific services they can access and increases knowledge and skills in caring for a person with a neuromuscular disorder.

The carers program currently offers support to carers living in the following regions:

South Coast, Hunter, Riverina, Central West, Mid to Far North Coast, New England region and Far South Coast
