Women’s Group

This is an opportunity for women who may be carers or have a neuromuscular disorder to get together to share women’s interests, and issues. The group meets at MDNSW offices according to the annual calendar

Carers Workshops

The Muscular Dystrophy of NSW runs regular carer workshops, information sessions and social events for carers throughout metro Sydney and around many regional areas around NSW. The program encourages carers to socialise with others going through similar experiences; it aims to educate carers on specific services they can access and increases knowledge and skills in caring for a person with a neuromuscular disorder.

The carers program currently offers support to carers living in the following regions:

South Coast, Hunter, Riverina, Central West, Mid to Far North Coast, New England region and Far South Coast

Members Advisory Committee (MAC)

The Members Advisory Committee group meets at regular intervals to discuss any issues that relate to members and provides ideas and suggested changes in services to the board of MDNSW. It is an opportunity to have a voice in the decision making process of MDNSW.
