Welcome back! We are once again excited to have you join us again and know the participants are really looking forward to seeing you too.

Each returning carer completes a number of training modules as part of the induction to camp. If we have any outstanding requirements you will be contacted by an MDNSW team member and sked to complete this

HOWEVER, all returning camps must complete annual refresher training, to ensure currency of knowledge.

We ask that all carers complete the following and where appropriate, send certificates of completion etc to info@mdnsw.org.au  with the subject line “Your Name, Camp training [training/certificate name] Attn Jenny”

Refresher training (completed annually)

Please complete the following, ensuring you provide all certificates/complete all quizzes on completion.

• 2023 PPE, Infection Control, Incident Management & Reportable Incidents (annual refresher) – Camp Carers
• The above PowerPoint is presented in 2 sessions. Please ensure you complete the quiz for each session (you will be prompted in the slides)

As a returning carer, we know you have gone thorough training previously, however below we have included some courses that you may wish to complete to upgrade and refresh your knowledge.

NDIS specific training:

All workers and volunteers working in the NDIS must complete.

If you complete any of these modules, please ensure you provide a copy of the certificate to the Camp Manager prior to camp

• Supporting Effective Communication

Please read and ensure you are familiar with the following:

• NDIS Code of Conduct for workers
• Worker obligations | NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission

Child Safety & Safe Environment:

• Please complete Keep Them Safe module and provide a copy of the certificate of completion to the Camp Manager, if you have not previously done so.
