Weekend retreats

MDNSW’s weekend retreats, also called short stay programs, are a unique opportunity for adults to get away for the weekend and enjoy some quality time with friends old and new.

Getting away from the routines of home helps people to relax and recharge, and meeting other wonderful people in similar situations to you is a bonus. No wonder our retreats are so popular!

Some of our retreats include:

  • Young Adults Retreat
  • Mums Retreat
  • Peer Connect Retreat

Due to the popularity of these events, make sure you RSVP on time to avoid missing out on your place at a MDNSW getaway!

In addition to our retreats, we hold regular peer connect meetups – another great way to meet with peers, share experiences and make new friends.

Young Adults Retreats

This retreat is targeted at young adults with a neuromuscular condition aged between 18-30.

The idea for this program came about because kids who grew up going to MDNSW Camps didn’t want to miss out on the fun of meeting new people and catching up with old friends for a few days away. As a result, this program was developed by special request from the young adults in the MDNSW community.
