Advocacy

We understand that every person living with a disability – whether a child, young adult, or adult – has fundamental human rights.

Being an effective advocate for the neuromuscular community is part of our mission.

Advocacy empowers people living with neuromuscular conditions to have their voices heard and their rights upheld. We engage with policymakers, collaborate with systemic advocacy organisations, and provide resources to ensure that the needs and concerns of our community are addressed. By championing the rights of our community, we strive to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.

We advocate for key issue affecting the neuromuscular community including:

  • Accessibility
  • NDIS and policy reform
  • Medical research
  • Disability resources

Through advocacy, we strive to enhance access to services and resources, while promoting awareness of neuromuscular conditions.

If you're aware of an issue affecting the neuromuscular community, let us know. If we can't offer direct support, we'll refer you to an advocacy partner with more specialised knowledge and resources to help.
