InfoShare: Planning for Emergencies

Tuesday 28 April, 12 – 1pm

Emergencies can happen without warning – from power outages and extreme weather to sudden changes in health or support. This session focuses on practical ways people living with neuromuscular conditions and their families can prepare, plan and feel more confident when the unexpected occurs.

In this peer‑led session, we’ll explore:

  • Practical steps for staying safe, connected and comfortable during an emergency
  • Who to involve in your emergency plan
  • Simple tools, checklists and strategies to help you prepare ahead of time

This session builds on themes of independent living, forward planning and managing transitions, offering practical ideas you can adapt to your own situation. There will be time for shared experiences, questions and discussion.

It's very helpful learning about other's challenges and the experiences we share. I learned about other places and resources I can go find support. So important for peers to share things going on as they grow – issues, ideas, and a few laughs.
