Camps & Retreats

Unlock your potential, create life-long memories and have fun along the way at one of our inclusive, fully accessible camps or retreats.

Living with a neuromuscular condition comes with its challenges and complexities. That's why our camps and retreats are designed to help kids, adults and families connect, build independence and have fun.

It’s all in the name – our “Camp Unity” program brings people together.

A specialist team ensures a safe, supportive experience, with accessibility at the heart of everything we do.

Our camps and retreats are popular and book out quickly. Check out our calendar to register now!

Testimonials

“What I got out of the retreat was reassurance from being with women who really understand what I’m going through, which empowered me to stay positive and keep fighting.”

“I like the sense of community when we all get together… I think disability can be too serious sometimes. I like the relaxing side of it too – where I get to come away and not have to worry about anything at all. It’s all done for me.”

Lisa
Peer Connect retreat attendee

“The best part of camp was having fun with friends and all the fun activities. I enjoyed the independence being away from family and making new friends.”

John
Camper
“The Adventure Camp experience ended up being such a positive opportunity for John to develop independence and this was something I really wanted for him. Not only did he make new friends and enjoy new experiences like playing in the sand at the beach and abseiling, but he also developed new independent skills that he is still doing at home now like brushing his teeth every day and getting himself dressed.

He’s more confident and we both understand that things won’t fall apart if I’m not around. John can’t wait to go back to Camp next year and I am so grateful to MDNSW for making this life-changing experience for him possible.”
