For Kids

We strive to give kids living with neuromuscular conditions the opportunity to thrive, reach their potential, make friends and build memories!

Creating opportunities to build connection and communities is what we’re all about. We know this is particularly important for kids living with neuromuscular conditions and their families.

We offer accessible kids camps, community days, NDIS Support Coordination and more so you and your child can feel supported and part of a community that understands.

To get involved with our programs, learn more about what’s on by exploring our upcoming events.

We help kids

  • Build confidence and independence.
  • Make friends in similar situations.

Testimonials

“Summer Camp is so fun. Some of my favourite activities include going to the beach where we built sandcastles and played games, and building a cubby house with my friend Johnny.”

George
Camper

“Camps have been life-changing for Fletch. The first time we went to camp we were feeling very nervous, he hadn’t really been very far away from us before, but we could see some massive changes. He would lead the charge and we started to see him advocate for himself.”

Michelle
Mother

“It’s fun, I got more independent, the carers are nice and there’s always more than one activity if you don’t want to do something.”

Fletcher
Camper

“The Adventure Camp experience ended up being such a positive opportunity for John to develop independence… Not only did he make new friends and enjoy new experiences like playing in the sand at the beach and abseiling, but he also developed new independent skills that he is still doing at home now like brushing his teeth every day and getting himself dressed.

John can’t wait to go back to Camp next year and I am so grateful to MDNSW for making this life-changing experience for him possible.”

“The Adventure Camp experience ended up being such a positive opportunity for John to develop independence and this was something I really wanted for him. Not only did he make new friends and enjoy new experiences like playing in the sand at the beach and abseiling, but he also developed new independent skills that he is still doing at home now like brushing his teeth every day and getting himself dressed.

He’s more confident and we both understand that things won’t fall apart if I’m not around. John can’t wait to go back to Camp next year and I am so grateful to MDNSW for making this life-changing experience for him possible.”
