Women’s Retreat

Unwind, connect, and find your strength at MDNSW’s Women’s Retreat.

The Women’s Retreat is a special weekend for women living with neuromuscular conditions to rest, recharge and reconnect.

Held annually, it’s a chance to take a break away from daily life and focus on your well-being in a relaxed, supportive environment. With space to slow down, share stories and build meaningful connections, you’ll be surrounded by others who truly understand your journey.

You’ll leave feeling refreshed, inspired and part of a strong community.

Check our calendar for details on the next retreat.

Testimonials

“This year’s women’s retreat was a blast. Canberra turned on beautiful weather for us all to wheel around Lake Burley Griffin, pop into the markets and take in the views of Canberra’s stunning gardens. Thank you all for another fantastic retreat, friendships, shared experiences and memories.”

“What I got out of the retreat was reassurance from being with women who really understand what I’m going through, which empowered me to stay positive and keep fighting.”

“The Adventure Camp experience ended up being such a positive opportunity for John to develop independence and this was something I really wanted for him. Not only did he make new friends and enjoy new experiences like playing in the sand at the beach and abseiling, but he also developed new independent skills that he is still doing at home now like brushing his teeth every day and getting himself dressed.

He’s more confident and we both understand that things won’t fall apart if I’m not around. John can’t wait to go back to Camp next year and I am so grateful to MDNSW for making this life-changing experience for him possible.”
