Power Hour

A safe and social space for young members in power wheelchairs to connect and unwind.

Power Hour is a monthly virtual catch-up for young men aged 18-30 with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

The agenda? Part life advice, part gear chit-chat and part laughter. It’s also a space to build confidence, share experiences and develop real-life skills that support independence and choice. From self-advocacy to managing change and setting goals, Power Hour helps you grow your capacity, connect with others and have a good time doing it.

Power Hour allows me to socialise with my friends. I don’t do lot during the week other than going out with a carer locally, so the group is a great way to keep connected with the guys.
