For Adults & Over 65s

Unlock your potential – your community awaits!

Our events and programs offer opportunities for people living with a neuromuscular condition (NMC) to build connection, gain knowledge and explore personal growth.

We foster an inclusive and welcoming environment where individuals can engage in social, recreational and educational activities to promote their physical and emotional well-being.

Whether you’re a newcomer looking to make new friends or one of our regulars, we invite you to join a community who understands you.

To get involved with our programs, learn more about what’s on.

Testimonials

“These [Peer Connect] retreat weekends are just so good. I mean without these I wouldn’t have any connection to other people with muscular dystrophy. I’d honestly be lost. I look forward to it.”

“The highlights [of the events] are meeting people in similar circumstances from who I can learn and share experiences. I have gained information and mutual support.”

“The Adventure Camp experience ended up being such a positive opportunity for John to develop independence and this was something I really wanted for him. Not only did he make new friends and enjoy new experiences like playing in the sand at the beach and abseiling, but he also developed new independent skills that he is still doing at home now like brushing his teeth every day and getting himself dressed.

He’s more confident and we both understand that things won’t fall apart if I’m not around. John can’t wait to go back to Camp next year and I am so grateful to MDNSW for making this life-changing experience for him possible.”
