Peer Connect: Virtual Events

Connecting minds, creating memories: Virtual events

We offer many virtual events designed to support and educate individuals living with neuromuscular conditions (NMCs), their families and caregivers.

These online sessions are all tailored to address various aspects of living with NMCs and connecting with other people in the community.

Joining us at our online meet ups is a great way to share tips and tricks, build confidence and make new friends!

Virtual events

  • InfoShare: Brings our community together online and in-person to discuss the topics they choose such as accessible travel, navigating the NDIS, home modifications and managing life transitions.
  • Condition-specific groups: Quarterly groups for people living with Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy (LGMD), spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), myotonic muscular dystrophy, and facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSH, FSHD).
  • PowerHour: A monthly virtual catch up for young members in power wheelchairs, in a fun and relaxed environment.
  • Mums Wine & Chat: A monthly virtual catch up for mothers in our community to share stories and connect in a casual environment.
