Ready for fun and excitement this school holidays?

Our new Community Access and Recreation Service (CARS) program is now rolling out a fun and exciting new element to keep kids busy during the January school holidays!

If you’re a school aged child living with a neuromuscular condition and are looking for a safe and fully supported way to get out and about this school holidays, then look no further. CARS provides the required accessible transport and support staff, so that you and your friends can get out in to the community and do enjoy some pretty cool activities…

Take a look at the Calendar of Activities below and get in touch to let us know which one or more of the activities you’d like to participate in. Please contact us by Thursday, 24th December to register your interest as we close for two weeks over Christmas.

Please note, NDIS funding is required to fund your time in the School Holiday Program and costs such as entry fees and meals are to be covered by the participant. We are happy to provide you with a quote when we hear from you.

BIG BASH LEAGUE

Wednesday 13th, January

  • Meet at MDNSW Lidcombe Office at 5.00pm or at Sydney Olympic Park McDonalds @ 6.00pm.
  • Tickets $15-$20.
  • Pick up at Sydney Olympic Park McDonalds at 10:30am or Lidcombe at 11.00pm.
 A-LEAGUE
Sydney FC Vs Western Sydney Wanderers
Saturday, 16th January

  • Meet at MDNSW Lidcombe Office at 5.00pm or at Sydney Olympic Park McDonalds at 5.30pm.
  • Tickets $15-$20.
  • Pick up at Sydney Olympic Park McDonalds at 9:30pm or Lidcombe at 10.00pm.

FERRY TO THE CITY
Wednesday 20th, January

  • Meet at MDNSW Lidcombe Office at 9.00am or at the Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Terminal at 9.30am.
  • Ferry tickets $4.
  • Explore Barangaroo and go shopping. Have lunch in Darling Harbour (Bring money for lunch or BYO your lunch.)
  • Pick up at the Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Terminal at 3.30pm or Lidcombe at 4.00pm.
 A DAY AT THE MUSEUM
Friday, 22nd January

  • Meet at MDNSW Lidcombe Office at 9.30am and travel in by MDNSW van.
  • Entry fee $10.
  • Travel back 66 million years in an exciting interactive exhibition that introduces you to the whole tyrannosaur family.
  • Have lunch (Bring money for lunch or BYO lunch.)
  • Pick up at Lidcombe at 3.30pm.
