Here at MDNSW, we understand the importance of supporting not only people living with a neuromuscular condition, but their families as well.

Our Siblings Day Out program is for kids who have a brother or sister with a neuromuscular condition, who are at least 6 years of age and no older than 16 years of age.

Both are full of fun activities for kids to get to know other kids with a similar family situation.

“This day gives our girls the opportunity to participate in activities we don’t usually do, due to Finn’s disability. This must be hard on our girls, limited to experiences due to our family circumstances. Siblings Day is great for them, both physically and mentally. Thank you MDNSW!” – Father Ross to sisters Nia and Ella who have a brother, Finn, with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Taking place during school holidays, past siblings programs have included a day climbing in the tree tops and a day bowling and playing arcade games.

Our next Siblings Day Out event will be held on Wednesday, 5th October at the Treetops Adventure Park in Abbotsbury, Sydney. Further details to come soon!

See our Events page for other upcoming programs.
