NSW Multi-sport Come & Try Event

Paralympics Australia is excited to announce a series of national dates for Paralympics Australia Multi-Sport Come & Try events in the coming months from March-May to increase participation in Para-sport and help interested participants connect to Para-sport! Across 2021, close to 300 people with eligible impairments attended the events and connected to sport, and with more planned in 2022, we hope to increase that number!

There will be a wide-range of Para-sports on offer with this opportunity open to National Sports Organisations, State Sports Organisations, and Disability Sports Organisations, to provide information about programs and classification as part of a small expo and deliver activities as a chance for participants to give each sport a try. Representatives from Boccia NSW will be there and are asking MD community members to come along and try the sport out!

The SYDNEY EVENT is scheduled for Saturday 2nd April 2022, 1.30pm- 4pm, at the National Centre for Indigenous Excellence in Redfern.

For those who were involved last year, the location is changing to attract new participants and to make it more accessible for them to attend. The event will follow a similar format with a few tweaks. The event will be FREE to attend for participants and registrations are already open. Suitable for ages 10+ (with some flexibility), although under 18s will be accompanied by a parent/guardian or carer. We’re encouraging people who are either looking for something social or looking to join a talent pathway to come along and get involved.
